I came back to building.

I'm Matt. An engineer who detoured through theology, then spent the better part of two decades leading instead of building — a $100M migration off the mainframe, the first global agile program at a bank, six thousand developers through a board-level transformation, run from Pune. I was good at it. I'd still recommend the view from up there. But I missed making the thing.

So I came back to it. Not as a hobby, and not as a humble beginner — I've shipped enough to know what good looks like and to get there without much drama. What changed is that the tools finally meet you where your judgment already is. I describe what I want, argue with a draft, and keep what's right.

This site is the workshop. The latest post is whatever I'm chewing on. Projects are the things I've finished or am close to. The labs feed keeps me honest about what's actually shipping from Anthropic and the Codex side. Everything here is real, and most of it is small on purpose.

If you're an operator who suspects you could build again — you can. Start on the getting started page, and email me when you ship something.
